Role Overview

We’re seeking an Associate Product Marketing Manager who will play a pivotal role in helping 1001 achieve Product-Market Fit in an exciting new business . This position is designed for a highly motivated, detail-oriented marketer passionate about storytelling and building narratives that connect products with people. Reporting to the Product team, with a dotted line to Growth, you will help bridge the gap between our product’s vision and the market’s needs, ensuring that our offerings not only resonate but deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Market Fit Efforts: Collaborate with Product and Growth teams to research and identify customer pain points, preferences, and behaviors, aligning marketing strategies with the evolving needs of the Iraqi audience.
  • Narrative Development: Assist in customer research to identify and synthesize customer narratives
  • Narrative Development: Assist in crafting compelling stories that highlight the value and uniqueness of 1001’s product offerings, ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Campaign Support: Work closely with the Growth team to plan and execute performance-based marketing campaigns, focusing on measurable KPIs such as acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Content Creation: Develop and refine marketing content in Arabic and English, including product descriptions, promotional materials, blog posts, and social media campaigns.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Monitor, analyze, and report on product performance and marketing initiatives, providing actionable recommendations to improve engagement and user satisfaction.
  • Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis and gather market intelligence to identify trends and opportunities, contributing to product positioning strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Growth, and Customer Success teams to align on goals, share insights, and drive cohesive marketing efforts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Your success will be measured against Product-driven KPIs, such as adoption, activation, and retention rates, with Growth-focused input on user acquisition and conversion metrics.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years in product marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role, preferably in the streaming, tech, or digital entertainment sectors.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic (written and spoken) and proficient in English.
  • Performance-Based Marketing Expertise: Familiarity with PPC, SEO, paid social, and other performance-driven marketing strategies.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing campaign performance, product data, and user feedback to drive informed decisions.
  • Storytelling Ability: A creative mindset with a knack for crafting compelling narratives and delivering them across various platforms.
  • Tech Savvy: Knowledge of digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities and objectives.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a startup environment or digital entertainment industry.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and user research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Iraqi cultural and market nuances to inform tailored marketing strategies.
